The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) was established by Section 2 of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Laws of 2021(as amended) with a statutory mandate to regulate the gaming industry, issuing licenses for both retail and online activities for a plethora of games, including Lotteries, Sports Betting, Promotional activities, Casinos, etc., while creating a safe and inclusive gaming environment.
This ensures that the activities of all operators in the industry are in line with the provisions of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Laws of 2021(as amended) and are conducted under a very conducive, safe and secured conditions.
The Agency is also an active member of several international regulatory bodies such as the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) and while also maintaining strategic partnership and collaboration with UK Gambling Commission making it the number one regulatory hub in Africa and aligning its operations with global best practices.
Furthermore, the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) is not just a regulatory or revenue-generating body. While its regulatory activities contribute to the internally generated revenue (IGR) of Lagos State through licence fees, Good Causes Money and levies, it has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to social and community development by channeling the generated revenue as intervention funds into the various human development and infrastructural development programs of the Lagos State Government.
