LAGOS STATE LOTTERIES AND GAMING AUTHORITY (LSLGA)Re-validates its ISO Certifications

The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) has been certified  by the International Standard Organisation (ISO) as the statutory Agency to regulate gaming industry in Lagos. 

The ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) re-validation/certification 27001:2013 (ISMS) provides Lotteries and Gaming Industries with standards to drive business management tools and define conditions for the formation, implementation, monitoring and appraisal, maintenance, and enhancement of a quality management system and information security risk for managing an organisation. 

The Chief Executive Officer,  Mr Bashir Are while confirming the new development, stated that the revalidation is in line with demands of the

Agency as a pioneer gaming regulator to continue to evolve with its processes and operation. 

LSLGA, the pioneer gaming regulatory body in Nigeria was established by the Lagos State Lotteries Laws Cap L89 2004 Laws of Lagos State (Now Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority Law, 2021). 

The Agency is responsible for regulating lotteries, sports betting, scratch card & interactive games, casino, gaming machine operations, pool betting, promotional competitions, and other gaming activities within Lagos State. 

The statement disclosed that  the re-validation was earned as result of the Agency going through a rigorous process of reviewing, revamping and updating its documented business processes in a bid to better improve its core mandate of Promoting, Protecting, and Regulating the Lotteries and Gaming Industry in Lagos State. 

Are said: “The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) has once again proven to be a pioneer gaming regulator and continues to evolve with its processes and operation. This is a testament to the successful revalidation of its ISO 9001:2015 (QMS) and ISO 27001:2013 (ISMS) by MSECB, the certification body.”

He further stated that as a stakeholder-focused Organization, it is the policy of LSLGA to comply with all requirements applicable to the product/service delivery, to meet clients/stakeholders/customers’ needs, and strive to exceed their expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
